Mark White

OEM-bred operations leadership

Mark brings nearly four decades in the boiler and heat-transfer industry to CPE. He started at Nebraska Boiler in the mid-1980s and went on to hold senior roles across some of the field's most established names: sales engineer at Henry Vogt Machine Company, Director of Sales at Zurn Energy and Aalborg Industries, and Vice President of Engineering at Victory Energy Operations, where he helped transition the company from an equipment licensor into an owner of its own intellectual property across watertube boilers, mobile trailer-mounted units, heat recovery steam generators, and waste heat boilers. Most recently he served as Chief Engineering Officer at GCB Industries. Along the way he worked on utility HRSGs operating behind gas turbines rated 150 MW and up, and helped develop proprietary in-house thermal design software. Mark joined CPE in July 2024 as Director of Operations, where he oversees the engineering function: coordinating daily activities, supporting strategic planning, managing project resources, budgets, and schedules, and coaching the team to build technical and leadership depth. His deepest experience is with direct-fired industrial and package boilers, heat recovery steam generators, and waste heat equipment. He's the person who gets pulled into project execution when cost and schedule are on the line. One effort he points to with pride: helping grow a company from roughly six employees to more than 200, standing up every core department from engineering and fabrication to quality control, supply chain, and field service while the boiler designs and processes were being built in parallel. Mark is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and spends his time away from work with family and traveling with friends.

Background

Before CPE, Mark spent over thirty years building boiler OEMs from the inside. Most recently, he was Chief Engineering Officer at GCB Industries (2023–2024), managing project, construction management, quality, and safety functions across the operation.

Prior to GCB, he served twenty years at Victory Energy Operations as Vice President of Engineering, where he transitioned the company from equipment licensor to owner of its own intellectual property across watertube boilers (O, D, A type), mobile trailer-mounted boilers, mid-size utility HRSGs, waste heat boilers, economizers, and fluid heaters — and helped develop in-house proprietary thermal design software.

Earlier roles at Zurn Energy / Aalborg Industries (Director of Sales), Henry Vogt Machine Co. (Sales Engineer), and Nebraska Boiler / Energy Recovery International gave him deep exposure to utility-scale HRSGs, watertube package boilers, and global EPC and utility customers.
